@milkbarstore knows dessert is about more than what’s in the box. It’s the experience around it, too.
At their Flatiron location, the Ripple Maker adds another layer of personalization to the customer experience, turning a coffee into something guests can make their own.
For businesses, it’s a simple touchpoint with a bigger purpose: create another moment customers want to photograph, share, and remember.
Sometimes the smallest details give people another reason to come back.

Getting people into your trade show booth isn’t just a visibility problem. It’s a comfort problem.
Most attendees know that stepping into a booth can mean immediately being approached by someone who wants to sell them something.
So give them an easier first move.
If I were designing the experience, I’d think about:
• **Placement:** Put the hospitality experience far enough inside the booth that guests naturally enter your space—not out in the aisle where they can grab something and keep walking.
• **Flow:** Make ordering intuitive and fast. A long, confusing line creates friction; a well-designed coffee catering setup creates a natural place to pause.
• **Conversation:** Let the experience do some of the opening work. A custom drink, thoughtful menu, or branded element gives your team something more natural to talk about than, “So, what brings you to the conference?”
• **Branding:** Give people something worth noticing, but don’t turn every surface into an advertisement. The best brand activation feels like hospitality first and marketing second.
• **The handoff:** Don’t overlook the few seconds when someone receives their drink. That little moment of care can change the tone of the interaction that follows.
A mobile espresso bar isn’t valuable because people like coffee.
It’s valuable because it can create a low-pressure reason to enter, linger, and connect.
That’s a very different trade show strategy than simply trying to stop traffic.
Follow along for more ways to design events around how people actually experience them.

Celebrating Austin’s 2nd Birthday! 🎂
We had so much fun celebrating Austin’s special day at funforall_oc in Huntington Beach!
The customized “2” latte art was a hit! Huge thanks to drinkripples for making it extra special!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Austin! 🎉
Years ago, Jacey and Austin were college students at ETSU and walked through the doors of pikehousecoffeeroasters in Johnson City for coffee.
Somewhere along the way, they became more than customers. They became part of a chapter of our lives that we still hold very close.
Pike House is closed now, and that will probably always feel a little bittersweet.
But this weekend was such a beautiful reminder that the relationships we made there didn’t close with it. We haven’t even been able to close the page because of all of our memories and contacts. 🥲
Getting to serve coffee at Jacey and Austin’s wedding, and seeing so many familiar faces who used to come see us at Pike House, was incredibly special.
For a few hours, it felt like pieces of that old chapter had found their way back together again, just for a completely new beginning. 🥹
Jacey and Austin, thank you for remembering us, for including us, and for letting us be a small part of such an important day in your lives.
From serving you coffee in college to serving coffee at your wedding… we wouldn’t have missed this one for anything.
Congratulations, you two. We love you dearly. 🤍☕️

“Enjoy your face on my coffee.” 😂☕️
Okay, but would YOU drink your own face? 👀
